Today was the final day of the Davis Cup semi-final against Argentina, with GB trailing 2-1.
After a lazy morning, including a lovely hot bath, I jumped on the Number 2 bus to Parkhead, a 10 min walk from the Emirate Arena.
The atmosphere at the Arena was electric. The Argentinian fans played their part and, at times, drownde out the Stirling Uni Barmy Army.
After the Red Hot Chilli Pipers made their appearance, the first match was Andy Murray against Guido Pella. Murray kept the tie alive with a straight sets victory.
So, it came down to the final rubber. Both teams changed their nominated players, with Dan Evans (Evo) representing GB and Argentina selecting Leonardo Mayer.
Evo got us off to great start, gaining an early break and taking the first set. However, Mayer came back strong in the second set and went on to clinch the tie for the Argentines in four sets. The main difference was Mayer's impressive serving, which got him out of trouble several times.
Although ending in defeat, the weekend consisted of fantastic tennis - really enjoyable.
I hoped on to the Number 61 bus into the City Centre to enjoy a consolation meal at Handmade Birger Company, where I claimed my free drink (bottomless Diet Coke) and free side (hand cut chips) to go with my yummy cheese and bacon burger. This was followed by a Brownie and Waffle Sundae. Mmmmmm!
I then got the Number 3 bus, which stopped just outside the hotel.
Tomorrow, my Highland Tour starts in earnest.
