Good news! Ingrams were able to get Dawnie's top back in place, enabling me to access her boot. However, the underlying fault hasn't been fixed add they haven't had time, so no topless driving for us for a whole.
We then embarked upon the short drive into the centre of Glasgow. Arriving just a few minutes before midday, I was too early to check in to my hotel, but they allowed me to leave Dawnie in their car park while I went off to explore the city.
I had no definite plan, but just to wander aimlessly around the city. There is some lovely architecture, the red sandstone buildings are particularly striking.
After a while, I popped into my favourite burger chain, the Handmade Burger Company for my usual Jimmy's burger with cheese and bacon, hand cut chips and butterscotch milkshake, followed by a brownie and waffle sundae - lush! And, as they only use prime Scottish beef, I was sampling local cuisine!
I then wandered down to the Clyde before heading back to the hotel, checking in and putting my feet up. Them tomorrow, the Davis Cup commences!
Today, we only drove 33 miles, and Dawnie shall now enjoy a lovely long rest until Monday.
