Just a couple of days after getting back from my hols, a friend and I mad our way to Cardiff for the evening to see elctro-music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre.
He hadn't previously sampled the delights of dining at a Miller and Carter Steakhouse, so I introduced him to it and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
We then made our way to the Motorpoint Arena, and arrived in our seats in time for suppory, which was some gut twiddling k*** . He created a great 30 minute soundtrack, but it wasn't entertainment.
At 8:30 it was time for the main man, whic was accompanied by a couple of other musicians. They played a great mix of old classics and new material, and we even had the first public performance of a track from the forthcoming Oxygene 3, celebrating the 40th anniversary of his classic groundbreaking LP.
As well as the great music, the light show fantastic. Plenty of lasers and three 'curtains' of LEDs that made stunning visuals.
All in all, a fantastic night. To put the icing on the cake, just three days later we managed to secure tickets to the added Kraftwerk gig at the Royal Albert Hall next June!
