This is a blog take over from Ma and Pa Barnes - a brief recorded highlights of our trip to Nepal. Sitting here with a day to go it seems impossible that we landed on the 19th Feb. On arrival we were met by Rose and Megs who had arranged transport - excellent to see the girlies and get our first taste of Nepalese cuisine - barefoot sitting on the floor eating Momos was a taste of things to come. Monday, very normal day, apart from we re-entered the kitchens at 6.30am to watch pulses being washed....a little pointless as little chef man was literally just washing them, but we did learn what goes into the pressure cooking when cooking them. Garlic, ginger etc. Stood and watched the daal made and had a mid morning coffee with our new favourite men, noodle Monday one of our favs! After work a sunbathing sesh, and then an evening in front of the laptop....aga...

Sooo....after our Friday night bang uyp pizza party, which consisted of PIZZA and filoms in bed....due to the fact that Puppa B has left his laptop with us, thanks pups! So we have had the enjoyment of watching films curled up under our sleeping bags, luxury! So woke late on Saturday, as its the only day off...sadly no power after 11am...however this means that the internet connection is AMAZING as no one else is online, so could do all emails but not too much, ...

So OK...last Wednesday...wowowowo that seems like a long while ago! So last Thursday a normal day apart from we walked outside of Ullens and there was a lorry in a ditch...standard! The morning was Grade 2's dress rehearsal in front of the younger grades. It went swimmingly and was a great success ...Thursday afternoon we went and watched an IB performance that was directed by one of the pupils....it really was a great play. Half in Nepali and half in English it ...

Sunday awoke for the work days ahead!! No breakfast as lunch is soooo early at 11.00am....error on our behalf! We had to attend a PD meeting with all the staff, started at 10am then followed by a staff meeting...oh no! So PD finally finished at 11.30...foloowed by staff meeting. I am now going to officially quote the vice principle...'Okay everyone, if we just have a really quick staff meeting beofre lunch, only 5-10 minutes'......12.15 my stomach was imploding ...
