Hello everybody....
So its finally Friday, it has been a little bit of a busy week....well in terms of Nepal!
I'll begin at Monday...standard day, however a major problem, we have had an oil shortage for a lot of this week, meaning that when its dark, its dark.....our best friend the generator has been out of action, and we have had romantic, cande lit book reading sessions....i think that we would both agree....we love candles when they are not a necessity!
Tuesday...normal day, but then, in the evening whilst we were watching TV...(yes there was a little bit of generator time) in popped a very smiley security guard....the one we call 'Mr small one'...after quite a funny game of what seemed like chorads due to the language barrier, he informed us that he had a 1 DAY old baby....WOW! Regardless, he was at work, and he was also very keen on us coming around to his house on Saturday to make momo's with him....SCORE! We were excited and have been ever since....until just now, whereby we went to confirm our date....he has postponed to date until next weekend as his wife has become sick after having the baby....of course fair enough, i mean she only had the baby 3 days ago!!! I think we were more happy about the fact that he still knew that we were meant to be going to his house....we understand eachother....!
Wednesday...normal day, evening myself and Rose had a cracker of a game of badminton and a bit of a Netball training sess....we then had a great chat with all of the drivers who informed us that they were off to 'E' Van drivers wedding.....WHATTTTT??? We hadn't been invited....gutted to say the least we watched them go and headed to Ram store to eat our disappointment away with a snickers bar! Did the job! Power on and Charlies Angels on TV we were content!
We both haven't been sleeping too well this week....Rose has a new addiction, coffee and sugar mixed together to make this paste that she luurves to eat....at night....so upon getting into bed i swear that she must turn over 20 times per minute, its like listening to a washing machine with her sleeping bag.....! So no more coffee in the evenings!
Thursday....another school trip woohooo! We went with Grade 9 to the National Museum....again with Nayan as our guide....after he came late as the school bus forgot him...(at least it wasn't a child, as being Nepal no head counts were done!) Had a great look around, it was amazing....we saw stuffed animals, and i felt a little ashamed to be British after looking at pictures of British Kings out hunting tigers in Chitwan....terrible....we then went and saw portraits of Nepales Kings....they no longer have Monarchy here. It was abolished in 2008....we saw old coins too which was pretty cool. We also walked past Nepals first radio....Rose however made the funny joke to Nayan 'i guess thats the first ever generator'....Nayan didn't seem to laugh! Back outside, we saw the skinniest dog that either of us has ever seen, whilst we all ate cheese sandwiches for snack....it was debateable whether feeding the dog would just prolong the pain that it must have been in....we both agreed that not feeding would be the best way so it would be put out of its misery quicker....the Grade 9's didn't seem to agree throwing piece after piece of bread after it....We are over the oil shortage woohooo so we are back in love with the generator!
So today Friday...pretty busy...we have both been horseriding where Justin Biebers 'Baby baby baby ooooo' is still ringing in our heads from the bus journey! I walked into Grade 9's toilets and i saw grafitti that says 'Justin Bieber i love you'.....thats what we are up against....! So a free day tomorrow, a lie in for sure and then maybe a little outing somewhere....we shall see!
Have a great weekend everyone....
Fidget..............
