So a short one for today as we are back to our normal weekday working! I must start with the litter here...you would be shocked by how much litter was left behind yesterday...it looked like a landfill site...so awful! We talked to our new friend 'Mr Literature Man' (who we later found out was a little intoxicated) about it and he matter of factly said "thats Nepal" It is so sad as they have such beautiful surroundings that are being ruined by people not picking up their rubbish! Anyway...enough of that!
After our very early night we both awoke at 3.20am to hear dog riots going on...again! It is SO weird as its almost like they bark every time you breathe in, and stop when you breathe out...not sure if we are going mental, but we both agree that this is the case...they are doing our freaking heads in! Went into breakfast...standard day...no childrens strike that there had been rumours of the day before...bummer! Normal lessons etc etc...more marking work..etc etc!
Now our new friends...Mr Literature man met us in the staff room and guess what...invited us out with him on Friday!!! Friday nights may be becoming a bit of a bang up night...!! He said to Rose that it is 'on him'! I think people are being so generous to us as we have told them that we don't eat at night because we can't afford it, so snack at 4pm is our last meal. This doesn't bother us one bit, but they think that it is outrageous!
2nd friend...Mr 'studied in America man'...the one who stood up and led the singing in 'drunk' bus on the way back yesterday! We found out that they had all gone out drinking after we got back last night...we were a bit gutted about that! He stayed at 'Mr Literature's'. Its standard to drink and then get on your motorbike here, and they both fell off theirs on the way home and have damaged the bike...pretty funny! Anyway Mr "studies in America' is lovely he sat with us at snacks...he has some american friends coming over to stay and he might be coming to England to study some more at UCL...we like him a lot!
Lastly...'Big Ass' who has now declared to us that he isn't sure he likes that name (even though we took him a mars bar today!)...so we may just call him 'Big Ash' gangsta style for jokes! He got his groove on, on the dance floor yesterday, we told him that we would teach him how to skank reggae style in the coming months as we go in there from 5-5.30 every day...this will now be a dance session we think. He had a bit of a chuckle at Roses boots and then giggled as we did some kung fu fighting down the hallway...its official...we love him!
We are going horseriding with the children on Friday and then maybe a casual visit to the chinese border over the weekend...if all goes to plan...!
May not write for a few days as it is all pretty standard stuff, but chat soon! Roo....
