I would just like to make it clear, the sickness bug that I have is definitely NOT due to booze....we are not that cool. I do infact have a serious tummy bug, and I am off all food....not even paracetamol wants to be swollowed, and lets not even talk about peanut biscuits!!
So awoke at the beautiful hour of 6.20am, inorder to see the sun rise. Went to our own person viewing off the sun rising over the Annapurna mountain range....it was stunning. We were searching for the sun when we discovered we were in fact looking in the wrong area and had missed the actual sun rise....but the view of the moutains was b-e-a-utiful!!
Back to the hotel for breakie, which consisted of porrige, toast, omlette, banana...mahoosive!! Seeing as all I had eaten for 2 days was some crisps, half a piece od bread, chocy bar and a few mouthfulls of sups (Meg was a goddess and ate most of mine as well as hers!) I did manage to eat a sufficient amount for the trek ahead....so we were ready to rumble.
Lets get trekking with no guide....turns out not to be a truely difficult route to follow, just a road that can fit cars along if needed....so dont worry we didnt get lost. We did get to see some gorgeous views and lots of Nepalese people. Most of the kids we passed said to us, 'Give me sweets'....how rude, do they not learn the please word here! Unfortunatly we didnt actually have any, so looked like right stingy people!
Onyl took us 3 1/2 hours, which was good work on our behalf, well done us! At the end we were meeted and greeeted by a taxi man. The driver was pretty mental and had obviously decided he was the king of the road so would therefore drive in the middle of the road for the whole journey...no matter what was headed for us, he WAS in the middle. Surprisingly we made it back in one piece! Phew!
Found a hostel, with wifi....and after a little chat with each other about our fund situation we concluded that we had better return home the next morning cause we are skint! Having spent soooo much money this holiday! Lets hope there are people at school to open the gates!
Hit it up big time at Once Apon A Time, Meg got the.....hamburger, I went for a pizza with salami- BIG mistake as salami is not the same as at home/england....its BUFF....ahhhh! The tummy went into reverse at the smell, so I just picked it off and ate it politley...Meg pointed out that maybe I shouldnt have gone for any meat....silly me!
Had a shopping session and spent the remainder of our funds, then watched Toy Story 3 in a resauent, which gave us FREE popcorn, hello!! Bus tomorrow is at 7.30am so another early morning, not partying tonight then! Good times had at Pokhara then....by the by the photo of us together by a pond thing was along out trek route.
Moo Moo Poo......
