My last day at Spot X! :( -
I woke up at 8:30am still pretty drunk from the night before. I had breakfast with everyone else and caught up on the happenings from the night before. It was so funny to hear who hooked up and stuff!
I then spent most the rest of the morning packing all my stuff up, sorting my boards out like taking fins out etc and generally getting ready to leave. The surf was so crap no one was bothered about going out for a surf, and getting our stuff wet.
I got showered etc and then had lunch. It was so wierd eating there properly for the last time..
Straight after lunch I caught up on messages to home etc and I knew it would be last time I had free Internet.
Later I just sat with all the Groms on GHQ balcony talking about all the good times we had at camp etc. It was so sad going back over everything, especially as some of the people had already left and I may never see again..
I wrote in everyone's book and then went to have some food Felix had prepared early for us, as we would miss dinner.
The bus arrived early at 5:30pm and took everyone by surprise. We threw our stuff on the bus and said goodbyes to everyone in the camp who was stood waiting around the bus.
It was so, so sad to have to say goodbyes to everyone I had spent 24 hours a day 7 days a week with for the past 3 months. It really was like saying goodbye to family members, especially to Megan and Nicole who had become just like big sisters to me.. It was reassuring to all of us though that all the people crying as we left was due to the fact we had made an impact on them..
For about 20 minutes after the bus left Charlie and I sat crying as a lot of people we will never see again.
The bus was about 3 hours to Byron, so we just got in, dropped all our stuff off and went out for a couple of drinks at the beach front bar.
By 12 I was absolutely spent so I came back to the hostel and passed out until the next morning..
