6am wake up again this morning to surf at 7, it was barely worth getting out of bed. So bloody windy at cross/onshore it's just ruining the waves. If the wind had died it could have been a nice 3-4ft but it's just horribly stormy. At the end of the session Dave saw some sort of wildlife about 8ft long breach the water just out the back of the lineup so looks like we were surfing with some sort of shark or maybe a Tuna or something. Fortunately we were just getting out anyway...
Just waiting or lunch now, going to go and check if my wetsuit is here too.
After lunch I went for a walk over to Mulawarra and over the next headland to Mulaway (probably spelt wrong...again) with a few of the others. Despite spending many years detesting mum and dad's 'Coastal Walks' I really enjoyed it - got to see the surrounding coastline, escape the camp for a few hours and work on the 'tan'.
When we got back out 'theory lesson' was to watch the last ASP tour Portugal event from last year, and pick out techniques etc we should be doing. Sounds like a mega doss, but it is actually very useful.
Then went for a surf in 3ft relatively clean surf after as I got all keen to surf again post theory lesson...
