I'm writing this the day after due to not having the time yesterday.
I just chilled out all morning after breakfast in the surf school area. I downloaded and installed the DropBox programme to my NetBook which is Awsome! I now have a fully functioning way of getting all my photos etc home, so they are safe and dad can back them up!
Having sorted this and other bits and pieces, I took Rob's (one of the instructors) puppy for a long walk on the beach with Charlie, Jojje and Courtney. It was a really nice day so it was good to get out and have some exercise, especially as I had never walked down and explored that far down the beach before.
After lunch I started to get more agitated that I couldn't go out surfing really, due to meant to be resting from my illness. Instead I sunbathed in the surf school area and chatted with some of the grommies around etc. I also started to improve my pingpong skills as the grommies are really keen on it, and I got involved as I couldn't surf. Still have a lot of practising to do though if I'm to match up!
Later on I went down the beach to watch the others surfing as it was such a nice day. Natalia was down there taking photos of the lesson, so I kept her company for about an hour and a half which was nice. I was itching to get out in the water, but managed to resist the temptation.
I started work at 6pm, so I got to eat first and then do the dishes etc. Grommie'ing really is such a doss. Having done the dishes and tidied up a bit all I had to do all night was - keep the campfire going, socialise with everyone and sit on wifi every now and again to see people there. Perfect.
It was a very uneventful evening, until it got to about 11:30pm. The fire wood ran out, some of the guys went to the beach and came back with vast amounts, making a huge fire.
Then 2 of the other grommies hooked up and tried to subtlety leave with 2 random girls. It was hilarious watching them so there was plenty of banter.
Eventually I sacked off my shift and let Tyler finish it off for me, as he offered and i was I work 6am the next day..
