Everyone in academy had their surf lesson at 9am today with Linton and Morgan. The surf was a little better than expected - clean and most sets 3-4ft. I didn't have the best session, just couldn't get in tune with the waves but some of the others were ripping.
The highlight of the session by far were the Dolphins - they appeared from nowhere and were swimming around around us, surfing waves with us and jumping out the water. I can't describe how cool it was.
Also one of the local guys Linton knows was out on his Jetski so Linton was getting Towed In to set waves on that. It was pretty impressive to watch, despite the surf being tiny..
For lunch Paul, Joja, Lasse, Lennie, Oscar and I took the camp's push bikes and rode to a local cafe, about 15 minutes away. We all ate a ridiiiculous amount of chips + our burgers but it was a nice change for lunch.
When we got back we had 'Instructing Theory' with Rhys. It was actually very useful - being taught techniques for teaching surf lessons I.e. all the health and safety and ocean awareness etc.
After theory we had to SUFFER through fitness. We did circuits and even a 3pm it must still have been between 25-30 degrees. That coupled with our lunch time splash out lead to an uncomfortable session.
There wasn't much surf after so we just sat around and chilled out before dinner.
We have eaten now and 2 massive bus loads of people have arrived so might stay up and have a couple of drinks tonight..
