Once again, I'm writing a day later.
I got up at 4:30am to watch the Champions League final, which was definitely worth it! I started off wanting Chelsea to loose, but after they equalised on 88 minutes and it went to penalties etc I was stoked to see them win.
I had to work the morning shift, 6am-12, which was sweet as I spent till about 8am watching the football. The rest of the shift was very uneventful and I finished at lunch as usual.
In the afternoon I joined another lesson, which turned out to be the best one I have done yet. French Oli and I did a lesson with just 3 people. We split up so I taught the 2 guys on their second lesson, and Oli took the girl on her first lesson. Both guys were really up for it, and one of them by the end of the lesson was riding down the line on green waves!
Later on in the lesson we merged groups with Gary, who had about 10-15 people out with him, and everyone just had a good laugh.
After the lesson, about 4pm it was too late to go for a surf, so I just had a beer and walk down to the beach. I discovered Craig, Dylan, Ross and Tim Tam making a huge sand castle, so I joined in. This was sandcastle building on a whole new level - they had a picaxe and 3 mental spades!
The end result (I need to get the photos from Carley) was a 'Sand House', with a sofa, fire pit, hall way and steps in and out. We all had so much fun making that thing, with the big portable speakers playing music on the beach.
We stopped when it got dark, but decided we would go back later and get drunk and have a fire on the beach.
Unfortunately at dinner we discovered it would be a $10,000 fine if we were caught by the police having a fire on the beach (due to it being a national park and aboriginal ground), so we decided to just get drunk at camp instead. The chances of being caught with a beach fire were pretty slim, but no one wanted to take out a bank loan to pay the fine if we were caught..
In the end Ruby, Canadian Megan, Carley and I got super suuuuper drunk instead and had a hilarious night. I was informed that we went to bed about 1:30am. I couldnt remember it all, but some of the stories this morning were so funny!
