So as everyone had finished their assessment (who was due to do it), today was the first day everyone was more chilled and relaxed for a little while.
My group was surfing at 9:30am so I had a bit of a lay in and got all my stuff together. The waves at Arrawarra were crap so we went off to surf Woolgooga town beach. Everyone was pretty excited because as a group we Havnt been taken to many different spots.
The surf at Woolgooga was ok - we surfed a sandbank which breaking similarly to a left hand point break. It was about 2-3ft and relatively clean. Although, the winds were howling cross shore and I was surfing really badly so I got frustrated pretty quickly.
We got back to camp just in time for lunch and then just sat in the sun as it was such a beautiful day. The weekend was a pretty hot topic of conversation, discussing the festival and how good it's actually going to be. We are just all hoping the weather is good for it, otherwise it could be a bit of a left down..
After a while I got bored of just laying around and decided to go out and surf the point on a longboard. Jenny, Joja and Rob all came along, with Dave, Charlie and Dan turning up later on.
Once again I had such a good time out there. It's so relaxing just cruising on a longboard every now and again. Plus as it was so warm in the sun we were all just out in boardshorts which is always nice. The waves were a prefect 2-3ft on sets and super clean, breaking down the whole length of the point, about 100m long.
When the sun started to go down the temperature dropped pretty quickly so we came back and had showers before we got too cold. By the time we had done that it was pretty much dinner time..
After dinner I was really tired so I just sat around chatting with everyone for a little while. Then Avitar was put on in the movie room so I started watching that, but ended up bailing and going to sleep by about 9:30pm.
