Today has been a very strange day. I woke up about 6:30am feeling a bit better, so I got up and had some mushed up weetabix's for breakfast. I got showered and then spoke to reception to try and get a doctors appointment.
It turned out that firstly, all the doctors were full, so I would need to go back to the hospital..again. Secondly other people at camp had become more ill, and one of the other Grommie girls needed to come to hospital too.
We got to the hospital about 9am and after about an hour of waiting around we had both been seen to.
The doctor told me I had a virus which was causing all the symptoms of Tonsilitus. He swapped me onto a different antibiotic, of which I need to take a 7 day course, and away we went.
We stopped at the big shopping mall in Coffs on the way back to camp to buy our prescriptions (it was quite funny both of us going in and getting the same one). While we were there it was the perfect opportunity to get some comfort food, so we also ended up with chocolate and yoghurt too.
When we got back to camp it was if all hell had broken loose. Rhys, who is now in charge of camp in Morgans absence, had got the entire Grommie workforce cleaning everything, inside and out, in an attempt I reduce the spread of the illnesses going around.
I then walked into my room to discover Dan and Charlie had moved in, and Dan had already claimed my bed?! I was to move out of the academy accommodation I had been in for 2 months, there and then, and move into 'Pipeline' where some of the Grommies live.
I didn't really want to move as I had so much room and it was so nice and quiet in there, but I didn't have a choice. Pipeline is very different - 8 people live in here, splint into 2 halfs with 2 bunk beds in each. It's strange to be living in the same room as so many people now but I'm sure I will get used to it.
After I had got all moved in we just chilled out and watched a movie for a little while, then it was time for dinner anyway.
One of the grommies who was meant to be working at dinner was out picking someone up from the hospital so I had to cover his washing up shift. It sounds like a rubbish job, but really it's the biggest doss - all you do is rinse a plate, put it in the dishwasher and stand about chatting to people.
After dinner I discovered an email from someone who is interested in buying my old board which is pretty cool. Only problem is they live a long way up the coast so they are intending on sending it via courier etc, so not as easy as I hoped.
Other than that, all I really did was watch one of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' with Linda.
It's pretty late and I'm super tired having not funny recovered from my illness yet, so time for bed.
