Kia Ora everyone,it's time for my next instalment...
After such a fun packed weekend,Monday came around quickly and while Mel went to work to earn the money,I was up to my ears in laundry and cleaning, but it was tricky as we had both woken up with aching bodies after the tree climbing, which had worked muscles that had not been worked for a while...
We drove to Milford later that night, for a walk on the beach but we had under estimated the tide and couldn't get on the beach so we had to go do the shopping instead!!!!
We still hadn't heard any news from the doctors about my blood test,I took a ride on the pushbike and was surprised when I didn't ache more.I dropped Mel at work today as I needed the car to make my appointment with the hearing specialist so I could get a report for INZ.Because things are getting delayed I have to go on Monday to extend my visa to cover me until the residency is cleared,so I am hoping for a 3 month extension.
My hearing consultation went smoothly and he agreed to put together a report early next week for me which was encouraging.I visited the doctors Thursday and was yet again told I was nearly a stone overweight and I needed to exercise more, which I felt a bit aggrieved about, but agreed to try,the doctor wrote me a report which I can send to INZ with my hearing report next week.To top the day off I found out that the bike I had been waiting 8 weeks for was no longer available so not a good day!!
Friday 13th was made famous by the scary movie and we are led to believe things can go wrong, and we had received more bad news by email,we had a request from INZ to supply more information on Mel's application for residency so at least I know it's not just me that they are picking on!!!!!
I took our neighbour shopping Friday morning as our landlady was away and usually takes him,but it was a pleasure, and he treated me to coffee for helping him out and we chatted for a few hours, and eventually I had to leave to go and get stuff done at home...
Saturday was an eventful day and it started with a good old bacon sandwich before we set off for the bike shop to try and get something sorted out. After about an hour we had smoothed out the extra parts needed for the bike and had ended up buying a brand new Harley Davidson 883 Sportster in Pacific Blue Pearl which is currently on it's way from the U.S.A and should be with us in about 4 weeks, which is exciting and we are looking forward to getting it and enjoying it.
It is amazing how easy it is to spend money and we still hadn't finished yet,our next stop was another bike shop to collect Mel's new crash helmet and it was pretty impressive I have to say, although we did discover that her nose is wonky as it doesn't seem to fit centre of the helmet!!!!
After all that activity with the plastic we had to go home for a rest...
The weather had dramatically improved and we took a drive North to Muruwai beach on the west coast which was busy with all the surfers in the water,we went and checked out the Gannet colony but were a bit upset to see a few dead birds on the cliff, but the new borns looked funny and all fluffy like cotton wool..Mel commented that it was like a minature version of Bempton Cliffs one of her favourite places. Back at the beach the black sand glistened in the sunshine and was lovely and warm under our feet as we walked along.
Lots of Love
