I bet you were wondering where we had got to,I don't think I have ever left it 4 days without a blog when we had access to the internet (sorry Dot!!)

The truth is though since the Santa Parade on Sunday it has been hard to get a better high!!!!

Joking aside we have spent much of this week doing just what you guys will be doing back home with day to day jobs. We struck a deal with the landlady so we do our own cleaning now and she knocks us $30 off the rent,result...

After 2 days of rain for the start of summer the weather picked up and the last few days have been really hot with no clouds in the sky,so it's been a case of slip,slop,slap to stay out of the uv rays.We did enjoy a great day on the beach today and spent sometime in the water as it was slightly warmer than the other week when I dared to dip in a toe..

We are getting the hang of the beach vibe now and went prepared complete with travel Yahtzee (thanks Laura and Joe) we even got caught up in some sort of Jetski incident when the police came asking if we had seen 4 kids whizzing about on one,unfortunately we couldn't bust the case wideopen for them which was a shame!!!

Driving to the supermarket later in the afternoon we saw signs wishing Sheryl Crow a pleasant stay in Devonport,so we are not sure if she is here now or visiting at a later date.We do on the other hand have David Beckham here at the minute ready for the LA Galaxy game on Saturday against the Oceania Allstars so there is a big media buzz around and he is all over the TV,we even have a Beckstravaganza on Saturday evening on the box so I guess we might go out..

Friday marks our 1 month anniversary of arriving here in Auckland and the time has gone really quickly and we have settled in nicely.In a couple of weeks the country seems like it goes into holiday mode till probably the second week in January so we will just have to suck it and see if nothing turns up workwise and start fresh in the New Year.

Had to finish by letting you know that we did much better in the pub quiz this week and finished in the top 5,fifth to be precise out of 12 teams so we were well chuffed and we got a prize for getting 10/10 in the music section so happy days...
