HUAIROU & BEIJING CITY, Beijing Province:
My last Saturday morning classes today, although I was only told this after I'd finished teaching!
I had had an inkling that was going to happen though, so I took in a massive bag of candy for my students, which was emptied before the second class even started! (I only had 11 students in my P.I. class this morning!)
I took my camera in to get some photos of Korean school, and the students loved posing! Ahin in the P.I. class, and John in the E2 class wanted to take some photos, so I just let them snap away while I attempted to teach. Worked much better than me taking pics - they took some good photos!
After classes I got to bus to Dongzhimen to meet my family at the airport express exit! I was so excited, but started to get a little bit cold and worried after waiting for over an hour...
Must've looked pretty sad as well, as after waiting for a while one of the guards brought me a chair and smiled regularly at me sympathetically... And then after two hours they'd managed to find someone who could speak English, who came over and offered me some hot water. So sweet!
It was really nice actually, and defrosted me for a while, until I finally managed to get hold of my parents with the help of Sarah on a computer at the other end of the phone! They were already at the hotel - we'd completely missed each other!
Was great to see them all again - Rob's got even taller - not fair!
In the evening we went to see an acrobatics show, which I thought was amazing! Some of the things grossed me out a little, and there was one bit where a guy nearly fell off a suspended spinning wheel thing that he was skipping round - scary!
