HUAIROU, Beijing Province:
Awww a lot of the snow had melted overnight... hopefully it'll snow again over Christmas!
I can't believe how crazy this lyric-running game makes the students! I've had to modify the rules every time I've explained the game to the next class after experiencing new ways of cheating!!!
In one class, one of the lads ('Pinky') jumped over the front desk to get to the lyrics (it must be about 4ft high!), loads of the students have tried to nick the lyrics off the wall, some have tried to use their mobile to photograph it, and in one class one of my cheekier students ('God') replaced the lyrics with a piece of paper saying 'NOTHING'! haha
I have Thursday afternoons free, and Sarah had the day off today because grade 2 students have exams, so we went for a leisurely lunch, had tofu from the street food market and some bread from Jing Bei, and then got our nails and eyebrows done. Went for black today, although they've already chipped
English Corner was fun again this evening, although the students rely too much on me to get them all talking!
