HUAIROU, Beijing Province:
Had my least favourite class today... I'm not a big fan of Class 4 on a good day, so throw in a headache and a sore throat and there's a room full of 50 teenaged satans!
When I finally got in, had a nap, and then prepared for our Friday evening tuition session. Our theme this week was 'Directions and Travel', so Sarah drew some maps for them to practise on, and I used Google Earth to show them a few places.
We talked a bit about hometowns, then tried to get them to make a mini guide to Huairou... They told us about some places we'd not heard of, including a 'channel' (I think this is a big road by the resevoir), and a giant ice cube that never melts.... can't see why they'd think Huairou is boring if they've got such sights as these!
