HUAIROU, Beijing Province:
Wow it's like my classes have completely swapped - Class 7 were horrible today, Class 4 were lovely! So odd...
Had a bit of a random lunch break... was quietly minding my own business looking up about the tran-siberian railway on my computer, when a woman I've never met before came up to me and started speaking Chinese! Emily wasn't in the office, and there was no-one else to translate, so she wandered off and I heard her talking to some of the other teachers, so I figured she was just looking for someone.
However, when Lily turned up (the English teacher who can't speak English) the woman dragged her over to me, and it turned out (after LOTS of very bad & broken English) that she was from Huairou TV & she wanted me to be in a scene for one of the programmes!
They were filming outside, and all I had to do was ask the woman for directions, and walk off past the camera... I'd love to see the programme it was for, but it was shown on Saturday when I was out! Gutted...
Wonder if any of my students saw and recognised me haha
