HUAIROU & BEIJING CITY, Beijing Province:
Did manage to get up this morning! (just) I gave up the beds to the Shenyang lot, so I slept on the floor in the living room - so cold!!!
We got the minivan to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, and got the cable car up to the wall. The day was much clearer than when I went there with Sarah, so got some more beautiful photographs!
I'd planned to stay in Huairou when the others went back to Beijing, but they convinced me to go with them for one last night out in Beijing City!
It was a bit of a rush, but we got back to Beijing, checked in at the hostel and got ready to go out. We were meeting up with everyone for a meal together, but it was a mission to find the restaurant! Got there eventually, and they had loads of vegetable dumplings and tasty beer, so it was worth all the wandering around.
After dinner we went to another all-you-can-drink place in Sanlitun - met up with Liz (my Dongguan & Harbin roomie) which was lovely, I haven't seen her since the Beijing meal and few weeks ago!
From Liberty (the bar) we went out - stopping at a chippy for some chip-shop chips! It was almost like being back in England haha. Solero had an big debate with a flower-seller person, and then bought a rose for all the girls who were out!
Went to Blue - a club we'd been to earlier in the week. At the end of the night I went back with Claire and Emma to the hostel, but realised the first bus back to Huairou was leaving soon, so decided to go home first and then go to bed!
Got back into Huairou and nearly fell asleep a few times while I was walking home (didn't even know that was possible!) and was so happy to see my bed!
