I was up early after a good nights sleep and headed to the AMC at Times Square once again. This time I did make the 10:00am IMAX 3D screening of Suicide Squad. I grabbed a medium popcorn & Sprite that lasted quite well. Well enough to get through the trailers. The film itself had been given alot of hype. I did enjoy it but not as much as Star Trek. I'm glad I watched it on a morning rather than giving up an evening for it.
After the film I slowly wandered over Wendy's for lunch. Located just along the street from where I was meeting people for the match. I arrived at Legends at 14:00 to secure a table in case there was a rush on. The place did fill up with Newcastle supporters. It was great to see the guys from Flynns make the trip into the city. Tony, John, Rich & Jen all came to watch was ultimately a disappointing game. Stefan had joined us for the second half, & after bidding farewells to the others we went to a happy hour bar called Albion. Our next stop was to link up with Emily for some food in Brooklyn. We went to a very nice Mexican restaurant, where we watched tried on he special drinks they offered. Following dinner Emily headed back and Stefan & I went to three more bars. The first Cloven Hoven had a large selection of beers and cider, as well as a large selection of board games. We opted for battleship, which we played by candle light. At the next bar we managed to get seated at the bar & I enjoyed a very good Gin & Tonic. The final bar again was Union Street. Here I add an enjoyable cider. Stefan & I were offered popcorn by one of the girls in the bar. Probably the only time I can remember where I have had popcorn twice in one day.
