Time it had often been stated passes quickest when you are having fun. Thankfully today proved that sometimes that trend can be broken.
The open championship started the day off. Mixed emotions as you could not help feel sorry for Scott. Whilst at the same time not being impressed with Els final round.
At the conclusion of the golf we headed out to a more more civilised brunch than the previous day. Brunch being the most popular meal in Manhattan right now meant that we waited for a table. Despite our best plans not to drink we eventually succumbed to a cocktail. Mine a tasty number with a genuine huge shrimp. This area of Manhattan was previously known as the main horse stable area. Nowadays great restaurants have claimed the key curb side locations. Brunch was incredible tasty for all concerned & following a pimms we moved over the road to sit outside in the sun for the next few hours. With the girls outnumbering Raj & I we were persuaded,(without much of a fight) into sparking rose then some prosecco. At the start of brunch there was just Raj, Monika & I. We were soon joined by Jenny, Karen, Jacqueline and later briefly by Hugh.
We moved upstairs to the rooftop bar after sharing a cheese & meat board & a truffle pizza. The location upstairs provided a lovely setting to relax in the cooling air surrounded by lots of greenery.
I headed to Jenny's house with Jacqueline for a bottle of wine & some nibbles before calling it a night. At a much earlier time than the previous two days.
