Following another good nights sleep I wasn't really up and about until 11:00. Stefan nicely prepared some bacon & eggs. To which we added some hot sauce.
Soon it was time to catch the bus to kickball. The field known as McCarran park is near Williamsburg. The bus room around 40minutes to get us there. There was a nearby baseball small ground and well as an AstroTurf soccer field that was being used by an over 40's league. When we arrived or game had been delayed for an hour. The rain held off and the sun stayed away so it was actually possible to be outside without suffering. This gave me a chance to get know people who were part of the team. Jose originally from Spain seemed to have got to grips with it well. The sport seems to be very social with people drinking throughout. Many seemed to just be topping up from the night before. I opted just to watch the first game to try and understand the rules. The ball they use is slightly heavier than a penny floater but not much. Therefore it darts around in the air while kicked. With music playing throughout the afternoon was great fun. I even played at first base in the second game but didn't get an opportunity to kick as we were all out by the time it was my turn. Two of the girls had recruited a young Italian lad walking by. I don't think they had stopped him for his kickball ability.
On the bus back I jumped out by Barry's neighbourhood and had a couple of drinks & birthday shots, with him. These soon finished me off & I took the shuttle back to prospect park. Where I grabbed a four piece Popeyes combo & finished watching the daft film from the other night.
