First up today was a trip to the cinema to see Star Trek. I arrived at the AMC in Times Square jut ten minutes late for the IMAX showing and had to settle for a standard screening. This was my fault for having slept until 10:45 when the film was due to start at 11:15. I grabbed some brunch at Five Guys across the road. Another burger with small fries. Always tasty stuff from Five Guys. The film itself was great and a nice way to start a Friday.
Timings worked out pretty well as almost as soon as I got out it was time to head to the Frying Pan to meet Stefan and Emily. The Frying Pan is the perfect Friday night location. With the sun out, we sat on the Hudson River with some Corona & Sangria.
We grabbed a can to Flex Muscles for dinner. Once again some oysters started us off. Very good too, but certainly less salty than the oysters in New Orleans. Emily & I had both opted for a tequila based cocktail. This was very spicy and added to the meal.
Emily had got Improv tickets for our birthdays. The show was extremely funny, & I would recommend it to all.
After the show Emily headed home & Stefan and I went to a few bars. A German bar, then Art Bar which we had been to in the past. In here we were kinda wedged against a wall. Finally we finished the night off in 3sheets.
Checkers benefited from some late night business again. All the other fast food outlets had closed at 02:00. So Stefan and I ended up getting the same Burger I had had the other evening.
