An enjoyable slow start to the morning. I took the family to The riverview restaurant for brunch. A glass of Malbrough SB & a grilled branzino was a great way to start the day. I took them on a stroll around Gantry Park after brunch.
We rested back at the apartment in the afternoon before setting off to meet Lori at her apartment on Park Avenue.
We had wine & cheese until the sunset on her roof. The dinner reservation got delayed numerous times, but we eventually made it to Annessa's Tavern. This Greek bar/restaurant had a mainly seafood theme which we took full advantage of. I was able to choose the wine, a 2012 Sancerre to compliment the variety of seafood starters. These included octopus, calamari, squid & white bait. I had my second fish of the day as a main. During the meal my dad fell asleep, perhaps he had had too much wine during the evening. Connie & Dale who I had stayed with in Pennsylvania joined us for a drink after the meal.
