I took Charlotte over to Queens on the 7train where she was able to meet Stefan & Amanda's cats. Well Gus anyway, Willa was MIA. I took her to Woodside for lunch. We found a corner place that served Nathan's hot dogs.
Impressively we located Lorna in Time Square & headed off to do an open top bus tour. The microphone wasn't working correctly but it was nice to be able to sit out in the sun & tour the streets. We did have to hop off slightly early however due to the traffic coming to a stop due to Barack Obama's motorcade. This is the second time I have been in town when the President has visited NYC, perhaps he is following me. I said goodbye to Charlotte & Lorna at this point as they got set for the flight from Newark.
I headed to Soho for happy hour in the botanica bar. Raj dropped in to say hello as Stefan Amanda Jenny & I enjoyed the drinks. Soon enough we were all quite hungry & went for dinner. The Italian restaurant was called Bianca & we were able to get a table straight away. The food was tremendous, & the wine wasn't bad either. The best thing however was the price. Proving that you don't always have to pay more to get a good meal.
Jenny wisely choose this time to head home. Where we carried on in a few bars. Darcy joined us for the remainder of the evening & Sarah came down for some Brit pop on the jute box. Some idiot suggested shots, which we had before heading over to a rather smart upscale bar. This was quickly converted into a dancing area as we joined other groups out having a good time.
A cab home was the sensible shout over the subway as we were all quite tired. In fact as soon as we got in I promptly fell asleep & missed out on Amanda cooking, next time.
