At the airport we bumped into Kris and Ella who were off to Portugal for the week. We all had our obligatory airport drinks in the Cabin Bar away from the main crowds of people.
On board the hop to London we bought some prosecco and once in Heathrow were straight onto the flight to New York.
We had seats with some extra legroom at the front of economy within easy access of the galley. Our first meal was a much needed English breakfast, accompanied by some white wine. Becky and I managed to keep going on the wine through the flight. The lad next to us indulged in many Magnum ice cream bars. I had brought my own headphones which was lucky, as the ones provided were no good for me. This also allowed me to get the best sound quality for The Last Jedi. Lasting around three hours it was a great film for flying.
When we landed we were through immigration faster than I had ever got through before. We got to baggage claim before the bags did. Unheard of on previous visits.
Stefan was ready and waiting for us at the airport. As we headed to the car Becky got to experience the heat that I had been warning her about for weeks.
Back at the apartment we grabbed a quick beer before heading out around Park Slope. To get there we walked across Prospect Park, that was busy with people enjoying the sunshine.
Our afternoon was spent playing games in various bars. Table shuffleboard, Jenga, connect 4, guess who, and darts. America came out 3:2 winners. Thankfully we won the darts at least. Along the way Becky had her first tater tot experience.
Dinner would have been an amazing experience at a lovely Israeli restaurant, but alas I could not go on. Jet lag & alcohol took its toll. I had to head to bed around 20:30.
