Ponferrada Rest Day 4

Ok I am feeling lazy now - after so much walking to sitting on my arse watching TV all day :(
My body is healing but still not 100% - I will give it one more day and the Saturday morning I will start walking again - 212km to go!

Today I went with Marivi's brother inlaw Jose to explore Ponferrada and the Templar Castle. Lucky for me Jose is incredibly knowledgable on Spain and so I was treated to one of the best city tours! Ponferrada meaning Iron Bridge was named over a 1000 years ago after the city bridge was built using an Iron handrail (one of the first).

Like many Spanish Cities Ponferrada has a rich history full of legends and myths all of which intrigue and stir the mind!

I am loving the rest but seeing fellow pilgrims today reinforces my purpose and I am ready to hit the road again!
