Absolutely frozen all night with 3 rugs - I woke at 2:30am in a sweat - thank God my body had heated up again :)
The Albergue we stayed was quiet small and very basic but had a really good peaceful sleep maybe because I was so cold!
We lost one of our fellow walkers today; Colin from England had sprained his ankle 3 days earlier and unfortunately could not continue! So that's two of my fellow walkers down in 2 days! It is just Phil and myself now!
I am noticing walkers are dropping like flys at the moment through various injuries as we are almost a third of the way through! The more I walk the more I realize what an incredible fete this will be if I make it to Santiago. At first when people asked I would say hell yes I am going the whole way plus some more but now my answer is: I would like to, I hope, if lucks on my side I will make it!
Phil and I set off at 6:30 this morning and made it to our destination by 12pm - with a total of 25km up some very steep hills!
It was very cold today but luckily not so much wind as the two days prior! The walk was good and my knee gave me less hell then normal so I am happy!
We both agreed we could go further but there would be no purpose as it would throw us out tommorow!
Turns out the town we will be staying has no shop and I have no food really si slightly worried how I will go eating! There is of course a very expensive bar that will sell dinner for €10-€15 but I won't be robbed :)
Hopefully the Parish priest will give sympathy to a couple of hungry pilgrims?
