Day 27
Last night was interesting a large room with 50 bunk beds, cold showers, a kitchen with no utensils and below 0 temperatures!
After a somewhat sleepless night myself and Darcy took off at about 8:30am!
The Mist was intense and visibility was at about 10m which made the climb to the highest point quiet difficult!
Luckily at the highest point there was a perfectly positioned cafe so we stopped to fuel up.
As we approach the last 100km we are expecting to see more and more pilgrims on the road as by completing the last 100km you receive the Santiago completion certificate!
Walking through a small town we were chased down by an old lady trying to give us pancakes - I proceeded to ask how much and she said no no - suspiciously Darcy took one and then she started to speak English €1 €1 - that cheeky old woman we had to laugh great entrepreneurial skills tricking all the pilgrims and her pockets were full!
We arrived at the Albergue quiet exhausted just as it was opening. So far so good small rooms, supermarket up the road and nice and quiet!
133.9km to go :(
