Day 15 - 32.5km
309km to go
480km walked
After another somewhat sleepless night thanks to all types of leg pain I was up at 5am ready to go!
Today was quiet cold in the morning and I was the only one on the track until about 7:30am!
Unfortunately I felt new blisters forming and to cater for this I guess I started to walk differently causing myself shin splints in the right shin! If it's not one thing it's the next and it seems to be all I right about haha!
There is definitely more to the Camino then all the probs and injuries so I will talk more about them!
This morning an old Spsnish man wished me a Buen Camino (a good walk) something nice I hear every day that gives you a boost of energy and a somewhat adrenalin shot!
Today I walked through the city of Leon (pop 130,000) I made a stop at one of my favorite supermarkets; Mercadona and picked up some first aide supplies some chocolate spread and treat myself to some tuna for dinner!
Unfortunately I got quiet lost in the city and missed most of the sites - usually we have shells and yellow arrows to follow but I lost these in the thick of the city. I asked a few people but no luck I decided to keep heading South-west with the sun at my left side!
This lead me through a huge industrial area for about 10km before thankfully joining back up with the Camino trail. It was a gamble not to backtrack and retrace myself but luckily it paid off - mind you I had to walk alongside a main road for the majority of the day.
I made it to a town called La Virgen Del Camino and decided to stop as I was in serious pain and I had been walking for 6 and a half hours.
The Albergue I am staying at us brilliant very cheap €5 great modern facilities and best free wifi :)
