Walk the Camino like an old man and through the eyes of a child!
This wonderful advice was given to me last night and today my true Camino started.
Forced to a snail pace I seen the meaning of this journey today!
I was the last to leave the Albergue this morning (a challenge put to me by a friend) and today I aimed to walk 5km only - I ended up doing a little more but the amazing thing every person that passed me I talked to and enjoyed the wonderful scenery with!
A lovely Australian couple and I made it to the highest point of the Camino 1500m and as we arrived there was a tour bus full of elderly English, Australian and New Zealand travellers and they were asking if I would take a photo of them in front of the Iron Cross (highest point) of which I did and had a laugh with them all doing it calling one guy out for pulling faces! Anyway they then all came over and introduced themselves literally the whole 50 of them and wanted to know everything about my journey - I felt a star! The funny thing was the bus driver was tooting the horn and they didn't want to leave our chat - magical moment :)
All day chance encounters and wonderful people attitudes and places crossed my path!
I don't know how far I walked I don't know how long I walked but I do know the beauty of today came from the people along the way…..
