39.3 km today in 7 hours - yes I was on fire :)
Today started like every other day up at 5:30 and on the road by 6:30am - the weather was looking quite dismal again and I managed to steam way ahead of my two walking friends Phil and Borna!
They ended up getting lost and I ended up waiting at cafe for them and then giving up! I ran into then a few hours later and decided it was time for me to start walking alone again!
It's not that I overly like being alone but it's much easier just relying on yourself!
The sun come out and I was feeling good so I steamed ahead!
My destination was at 28km but like always my mind wasn't happy for that and I pushed to the next town Fromista!
I stopped here for an amazing lunch of tomato and sardine bocadillo and then figured I could walk another 4 km to the small town of Poblacion de Campos!
I stocked up on supply's just incase there wasn't much available as it was a Sunday and a small town!
I arrived to the most wonderful reception and a free glass of Vino Tinto on arrival and price of Accomodation a whole €4 and even wifi so I can msg my Mum!
Wow the big day payed off!
I walk in to Accomodation and there is even a kitchen and sitting there free for the taking is some ham, salami, pâté, olives, tomato soup :)
How can this day get any better?
I take my shoes off to a Nasty surprise of a ginormous blister :( Every time I tend to push the kms I end up getting bad blisters or worsening my knee!
The Camino is testing me every inch and I love the journey for that reason!
