This is an update on our prayer ministry after church on Sunday night.
We were part of the team that were available to pray for people who came forward for healing.
There were very few people that actually came forward but there were a lot of people milling around outside after the Christmas tree lighting. The leader of the team asked for any 'Words of Knowledge' hoping that this might draw people in to the prayer circle. As I quieted myself I gained a faint impression of stiffness around the neck and again, it was very faint and almost indiscernible. If I hadn't been positioning myself to listen and sense what the Spirit was doing, I could easily have missed it. In any case I spoke it out to the leader and she indicated to the crowd that if anyone had stiffness in the neck to come forward and receive prayer.
We had about 10 people come forward with this condition. As Carole and I began to pray, people instantly received healing. We prayed for 4 to 5 people ourselves and everyone received healing complete and final.
As you would appreciate, we were very excited and this gives us confidence to believe God for 'the more'. These are exciting times for Carole and me as we are being positioned under the training and leadership of others who are certainly more experienced in this area and with people of very high faith levels. We feel as if we're in the right environment for God to release something new and fresh in us.
We're also due to have our first missions trip meeting this coming Thursday night. We understand that it is a team of about 26 people and the mission trip is to Ireland which will predominately be Dublin and perhaps a few other cities en route to final destination Belfast. It will involve a lot of street ministry in the city together with the ministry opportunities in various churches. Again this will be a stretching time for Carole and me.
