What does this coming week hold for us?
Tuesday:
We attended the (dare I admit it to the whole world?; the 'Seniors', over 55's Fellowship group 9 AM Tuesday morning. The main reason for our attendance was because Steve Backlund was speaking and it was really a worthwhile meeting. We certainly felt like the 'babies' of the group with some people there well into their late 80s. Are we really getting into this age group already? Lord, before you, please keep us young at heart and young in spirit!
We went out to lunch with Maris and Gillian Romans, a young couple who have just completed Year1 at the school and who originate from Melbourne.
We had a lovely time with them, they prophesied over our lives and we prayed for each other. They also laid hands-on baby Coby's photo and prayed for him and the encouraging thing is that, the next day we heard from Bree that Coby is well again and the bronchialitis has all but disappeared. ;-) Thanks to the Lord for this is a miracle. Coby had been battling with this ailment for close to two weeks. So this was quite an impressive act of God.
Today being Wednesday is a rest day for us and we intend to spend some time refreshing ourselves in the Lord. Tonight we go to the homegroup within this local community.
Thursday morning we're hoping to go to the intercessory prayer meeting and/or Treasure Hunt. Then on Friday night we will be back to the church for a worship service.
We're hoping to go to a conference on May 30. It is a small conference with a total of 100 people and it is booked out. However we met one of the key note speakers Chris Gore yesterday and he's a New Zealander. After speaking with him he was quite encouraging and indicated that he would try to fit us into the conference The purpose of this conference. is that it is a 'hands on' training session over three days dealing with the healing ministry of Jesus. We hope to gain some insight into how we might learn to move in power and authority in the area of supernatural healing.
Although we have now been away from our home and family for two weeks, we are not feeling overwhelmed with home sickness. In fact we are quite comfortable and relaxed at the moment, and although we do miss the family and the grandchildren very much. I think the fact that we Skype them on a regular basis does help to continue the face-to-face connection and this makes life without the family, much more bearable.
So that's about where we are at present. We have had a few days of rain but today is a cloudy but sunny day. Expected to be in the late 80s (American Fahrenheit temperature) or late 20s Centigrade . It is very comfortable at present.
You might ask 'how are you both going in yourselves?' You may not ask this question too, but in case you do, we are travelling really well and not only are we thoroughly enjoying our Bethel experience but we are sensing more and more each day that God is doing something in our lives and feel like we are in the right place at the right time; so thanks for asking! We do believe that God destined us to be here to experience this culture we continue to hunger for more of Him and for our lives to be available to Him for whatever task He would call us into.
Thank you for reading our journey and our prayer is that you may also be encouraged and blessed in the Lord as you too find your destiny in Him.
