Here is a truth for us to ponder:
Come to Me as you are!!
Jesus said 'Come to Me.' He did not qualify the call.
Your flesh man wants you to think that God needs you whole and well. In fact, it could be that our desire to be whole and well (our qualification) may restrict God from being able to use us without limitation. Am I saying that God does not want us whole and well? No!
I am saying though that God is not hindered and is able to use us even if we are incapacitated.
I would even suggest that, for many of us we think that God can only be effective through us when we are perfect physically mentally, spiritually and emotionally.
God is bigger than who we are! And as we lay down our lives even with our imperfections including any physical or other limitations, He becomes all that we need, so we can become all that He wants.
It has been said; 'you will have to heal me otherwise my life can be of no use to you.'
Think about this! Behind the statement is the belief system that God needs me and can only use me when I'm whole ( because I have much to offer God in my whole state,… why I can debate and argue His case for Him. I can articulate prayers in such a way and with such inflection and power that it simply has to get the right answer?!!?! When my body is in perfect working order, why…I can even lay hands on people and become His instrument of power and authority.
The reality is that God can use us in any state that we find ourselves. He only needs a heart fully devoted and submitted to Him. He calls us where we are and only delays until He hears the words ' YES, LORD, HERE I AM, USE ME!'
God is much bigger than our flawed self evaluation. If He can speak through a donkey to bring about His purposes, then surely He can use us to be an instrument of His love and power to a world who has forsaken God;Jesus says Simply, Come!
