All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!
As a result, last night being Thursday evening, we went to Redding Rodeo. It was an excellent night with great entertainment and a terrific 'safe' family setting where we just had fun watching the rodeo. It was a very professional and entertaining event. We went with our hosts Larry and Patricia and this was the first time that theyhad ever been to a rodeo, so could for them too, it was also very exciting.
Tomorrow, Saturday, we will begin the day by going to 'Healing Rooms' at Bethel where we will again be contending and praying for a breakthrough in my physical disability. Even though the healing has not come as yet, we're still moving forward in faith, believing God, and giving Him every opportunity that we can to minister healing into my life. Rather than feeling discouraged that it hasn't happened yet, we are feeling quite buoyed and excited about some of the things that God is doing in this place and the way He's beginning to change our lives (from a spiritual perspective).
Sunday will also be a big day as we will be going to adult Sunday school, morning church, then planning to have lunch together. In the afternoon we will spend some time in 'Alabaster house', the prayer house at Bethel. After this we will go to the pre-service prayer meeting which is an exciting place (I didn't think I'd ever say that about a prayer meeting!). Following this we go to the evening service. On all these things I will report as and when the events occur.
Both Carole and I are feeling very refreshed at present and have high expectations that God will continue to do this work in our lives. Again, friends thanks for reading this blog and keeping up with our travels. We miss our friends and family but believe more and more that this is the place where we were meant to be at this time.
Just a short personal interjection here, for Rob Hamilton, I know that you're praying for me mate and that you don't really feel that God has much time to listen to 'your' prayers. But, I want you to know that God is listening to your prayers as much, if not more than He is mine, For His heart is so attuned to you because He desperately wants a Father/son and friendship relationship with you, so much so that I think He would stretch over backwards to answer your prayers, just to get your attention and to confirm to you that His heart is toward you. So, Rob, please keep praying for me as you have. I so appreciate it and love you brother.
May God have His way in all of our lives at every level.
Blessings, Rob and Carole.
