It is amazing how nature can often be symbolic of the ways of the Lord.
Today I was sitting under a willow tree and meditating. I realised that a very gentle breeze would ever so slightly shift the stringy branches and fine leaves in a certain direction but that only lasted a split second and then the stringy branches and leaves would return to their original position.
It led me to consider the ways of the Spirit. Sometimes the movement of the Spirit can be ever so gentle; and unless we are tuned in to see His slightest movement, then the breeze of the Spirit will cease and so leave the situation in it's original position; much like the leaves of the willow tree. We need to learn to tune in to the ever so subtle and often imperceptible movement of the Holy Spirit in order to pick up the most minor or ever so sensitive movement. If we're not very careful, and not attuned to the sensitivity of the Spirit, we will miss His movement.
Similarly if one listens very carefully to the breeze coming through the Willow tree, even the slightest breeze will produce an almost indiscernible rustling of the leaves.
So too with the Spirit. If we are sufficiently tuned in, we can hear the ever so quiet voice of the Spirit.
The challenge is going to be how to see and hear those almost imperceptible nuances of the Spirit.-
Once we learn that language and can listen for that sound, we can then be in a place of readiness to a obey what the Spirit is wanting to say or wanting to do at any given time.
