SO,WHAT'S DIFFERENT NOW??…
So if you had read through some of our previous blogs where we share some of the miracles that we have witnessed, and some of the encounters that we have been having with God, you may well begin to ask the question
'So how has all this affected the way you do, (will do) evangelism and your ministry to others?'
That is such a good question, thanks for asking!
In terms of evangelism, we no longer feel the pressure to have to convince others about their need for Jesus.
Instead, because we host the very presence of God himself, our encounter with them whether that be by speech, or by an act of love, it is an opportunity to allow them to encounter the living Christ (who lives in us). This may come through a simple thing such as loving smile; kind words; an act of gracious service; or an opportunity to minister Jesus' healing touch upon them. Such encounters will likely open the opportunity for Jesus to meet them where they're at and we at the same time are able to minister His love to them.
We don't know how many times we've heard the testimony that people have come to find Jesus in the midst of a 'God' encounter usually via a sign and wonder such as the ministry of healing. It would be in the 100's!!
In terms of the way we approach ministry from now on, we have been affected by the way in which we have now come to realise the incredible power that is resident in us; that power is Christ within us who desperately wants to come out and touch people by the power of His Spirit.
In practical ways, this will mean that we will seek to hear from the Lord and activate 'words of knowledge' and prophecy to speak into the lives of others and call them into their destiny in Christ. We will minister to people with a deep awareness and growing clarity of the power that lives with us ie. Christ, the hope of glory.
In short, we are learning who we are in Christ and the pressure is now off!! That means we no longer have to perform, all we have to do is abide and allow His 'river of living water' to flow from us. It is no longer I that live but Christ who lives in me. Therefore, the 'hound of heaven is the one who is in us and who enables us to walk as Jesus walked!!
