European Adventure 2017
Today was a much quieter day as we spent our last day in Edinburgh. The sun shone for the most part but just as we hit the city after lunch the heavens opened. Since then it has been rain or drizzle on and off. We are SO pleased that we went to the Tattoo last night. The Fringe Festival is still in full swing and even though it was wet it didn't seem to prevent everyone enjoying themselves. There are 3000 shows over 250 venues throughout the city as well as street artists so there is plenty for everyone and such a buzz everywhere. We caught up with Lidka and Leicester for afternoon tea today and had a good old chat and sorted some things out for our trip to Prague. We have loved Edinburgh, the architecture is amazing and I particularly loved the little 'Close's' which are little narrow lanes or alleyways which run between buildings and often up and down hills to interesting looking places, sometimes little restaurants which are tucked into the back of areas. I spent a lot of my time looking skyward at the beautiful buildings as well as the street theatre going on all around me. A magic place.
