European Adventure 2017
It's an awful thought that the holiday is almost over! But it was great yesterday to be able to catch up with my cousin John and his long suffering fiancée Jane (!). Jane managed to wangle a day off and so the four of us spent a lovely day in the Cotswolds which we have decided is one of the prettiest parts of England. Our vehicle was in getting a central locking issue dealt with (common with all 2014 Mercedes of this model) and so it was great that we were able to work it in with John and Jane's visit. They took us to Bourton-on-the-Water which was a lovely spot with a river flowing through the town. We visited the local motor museum which brought plenty of laughs as a lot of the vintage exhibits there were around the age of Geoff's first car! Enough said! John saw a pedal car like the one he had as a child and then he reminded me of an incident between the two of us when we were five years old over a tricycle!! So much for time healing!!!! We had a lot of laughs and it was great to spend time with them both. From there, the next day we headed through to Bristol where we had a business meeting that lasted a couple of hours and from there we headed to our over night stop just 10km down the road at a lovely Farm shop. This farm shop has a delicatessen, butchery, bakery, cafe, nursery, fish shop, play barn, ice cream parlour and a couple of other small businesses. A lot more salubrious than our stop last night which was outside the Autosleeper Factory!. We are still getting a couple of showers a day but each day the temperature is lifting slightly and we are expecting 20 tomorrow when we will head for Bath. It was a bit frustrating today as my phone card ran out and I was out of circulation for a while but all is up to date and working again now.

Jane and John John disagrees about the "long suffering"', he thinks I have the better deal. It was lovely to spend the day with you, enjoy what's left of you holiday. Jane
