After a great night's sleep and a quick brekky in our new home we drove to the eastern suburbs again where the caravan dealership is situated.
After much discussion about the caravans we had seen we felt quite sure about a second hand caravan we'd seen that we felt was most suited to our needs and requirements. It had a lot of extra features including upgraded suspension making it suitable for outback driving, diesel heating (great for cold nights), combined toilet and shower - as per our old caravan - and an open plan layout with a queen bed. Our old caravan had the two double beds on either side, meaning we could each have a private area, which is really important when you're living in 6 metres of space. Could we make the queen bed (which by the way is smaller than a home queen bed) work?
This caravan made practical sense, was reasonably priced and importantly we felt the extra strong chassis would give us peace of mind after what we have been through.
Caravan yards are funny places, as you can wander around stepping into caravans and fantasising about taking home totally unsuitable but beautiful palaces on wheels.
So what happened today? Did we make a decision and buy a caravan?
Yes we did.
Did we buy the one that we came to buy or did we get bedazzled by something with a little more wow factor?
Well, we did make a decision after heading out for some lunch and a break. We came back and negotiated a deal, putting down a deposit.
I'd love to reveal all but until it all goes through, let's just say the decision wasn't easy and we hope it's the right decision!
No time to reflect on the day as we had to hurry back to our place with only half an hour to get ready for the communal Passover we were going to in Mount Lawley in Perth.
It was great to be part of this communal event, sitting with our Melbourne friends and enjoying the delicious food, singing and warm atmosphere.
Back home around 10.30pm and we can finally unwind from another full on day and we are both pleased that for the next couple of days we can hopefully unwind and play tourist in Perth.
Good night xx
