We packed up this morning and left our idyllic farm campsite just outside of Margaret River and headed into town to see if we could get an engineer at the local steel factory to make our tow hitch shorter. They couldn't do it on the spot so we decided to leave it as is and check it when we get our caravan serviced in Perth tomorrow.
We drove past Busselton and into Bunbury where we ate lunch on the foreshore and spent a bit of time checking out the lighthouse and a couple of the local beaches.
We then drove to our chosen campsite for the night just outside of Mandurah situated on a lake. The place is called Heron Point. We arrived mid afternoon in time to relax, enjoy the pristine lakeside location and chat to some of our fellow campers.
We were then treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets we have seen for a while, with the sun setting low over the lake, with hues of gold and pink reflecting off the water, bathing the whole area in a golden glow. Cadbury enjoyed frolicking on the shore as we drank in the glorious colours of sunset.
Time for a BBQ dinner and to head inside for an early night - we have a very early start tomorrow.
Night night, sweet dreams xx
