Today we did leave our lovely beachside camping spot as we know there is supposed to be rain later today and storms in the coming days. We want to see the Pinnacles, a little further south, if we can in the sunshine.
We drove through pretty little seaside towns including Leeman, Green Head, Jurien Bay and Cervantes, stopping to check out beaches, lookouts and the towns themselves along the way.
We arrived at The Pinnacles in Nambung National Park around 2.30pm and unhooked the caravan in the massive parking area as we would be driving through the narrow Pinnacles dirt loop road just with the car - and separately as Cadbury is not allowed in the national park. The loop might only be 4km in length but it winds through amazing limestone rock formations jutting out of the ground, some looking like termite mounds or tombstones. We were both lucky to have the sun shine while we drove through, getting out to explore at various vantage points, along with dozens of other tourists from all over the world. By late afternoon we hooked the car back on to the caravan and headed south to find a rest area before dark. We pulled up, cooked a quick dinner and chilled out for the evening. We still have no idea where we will head tomorrow - all will depend on the weather as we get ever closer to Perth.
Night night xx
