Tag 7 Aulus-les-Bains
Arrived in Aulus after a day full of impressive scenery. A real mountain day with wonderful summits (height gain: 1361m; height loss: 1351m), waterfalls (some, quite impressive nameless waterfalls and the famous Cascade d'Ars), green lakes (Etang de Guzet) and a lot of rocks (even granite I found - how bizarre).
Especially at the Cascade d'Ars were a lot of weekend-hikers which increased in numbers towards Aulus that is quite a touristic center.
Aulus, by the way, has a thermal bath. Apparently the water is good against syphilis as it was found in the 19th century. However, it's another indication for some "active"geology here.
Today is Sunday and everything, e.g. the thermal bath and the restaurants are closed in the city.

Daimon It's a stunning place. I'm glad I went back to that area a few years ago. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Still following you in mind and spirit if not in body.
