Still no white people...
On waking up I knocked on the Indian couples door (Astha and CP) and told them I was going to head to Dehradun, so that's what I did, on the way I got surrounded by about 20 Indian guys getting their photo taken with me, I just think its funny.
Dehradun, oh my god well I basically popped on the net to find how to get to Dharamshala, so I got an Autorickshaw which was great fun amongst the hustle and bustle, just as fun as the taxi over taking on blind corners up the hill avoiding cows, adrenaline! So I got to the bus station, grabbed a family size pack of Lays spicy crisps and boarded a bus with the Indians, 370 rupees which is roughly 5/6quid for my 14hour bus journey. The seat next to me was constantly occupied with people practising their English on me. In the middle of the night we stopped on one of many of the stops for wee and tea break, but it was pitch black and no loo, so I wandered behind a building with a girl and squelched my way through all the cow pat, may I add wearing flip flops. Oh yes, what an experience if only I was wearing my trusty head torch then.
Arrived at Dharamshala at 2am so I got in me sleeping bag and kipped on the bus til it was safe to get a bus. I think I got 20bites that night two from spiders, I look lovely covered in cowpat and bites! So essentials are baby wipes, repellent and head torch, lesson learnt. xx
