Chug chug chug . . .
Overnight train to Rishikesh, I braved the sleeper train, which was fab, 3tiers I was on the top and a group of young guys who are engineers were in the beds around, I just popped on my ipod and slept, at 6ish the guy in the bed opposite me gave me a note saying morning, so we exchanged notes in my half akip state and I ended up getting the bus with him and his mate to Rishikesh, they were my donkeys for best part of the day, we sat by the river sunbathing dipping our feet in the Ganges, after a while I explained I wanted to be alone to chill with a book, so while I sat reading in a coffee shop they sat waiting, obviously bored, about an hour later they left, the original note guy giving me a note
'I saw you on the train,
Send signals to my brain,
Opened my eyes,
Watched with sighs,
An angel none the less,
And me, I'm a mess,
Should I or should I not,
The decision to talk was hard,
But decided to once I got my nerves together,
You're beautiful and sweet,
The melody in my ear tweets,
I were there when it rained,
But please will you be my friend . . .? '
On the back he had drawn a picture of me sitting overlooking the river. I mean, haway, what is wrong with guys, I don't know what is worse, this or the Austrian guy's love email, jeeeeze. It makes me wana go urgh, just no, man up abit! Plus I make it clear I'm not interested, very very blunt about this.
So I moved to a rooftop cafe and chilled there before heading back to the bus station where I bumped into Amie from the yoga. I had a wee wash in the Ganges for me pits, hair and face as I was stinky, not used to this sunshine malarky making me sweat!
Overnight bus towards Nainital.(22rs Rishikesh - Hardiwar, 188rs Hardiwar - Bhawal, 37rs Bhawal - Nainital - less than £2 in total) People are so lovely, everyone buys me lots of chai and lots of the street food, so unhealthy but it's rude not to! xx
