After staying up the majority of the night with Richy, just chilling out after letting two lanterns go off at the beach, the first one not such a success, resulting in me running barefoot in my bear onesie across the puddle beach after the lantern set fire to itself and running into the sea to put it out, to return a sodden lantern back to Richy, he wasn't much impressed!
So at the airport was of course a very emotional time, after sharing a starbucks strawberry smoothie thing, it was goodbye to my love. The words to describe it is awful. So sad to be leaving him behind for my time away, it will be so so hard, but I have to do this. Fightening back the tears as I walk towards security giving lots of big waves, annoying the man walking behind me, I got to security and turned around and he had gone, and it hit me, the guy must of thought I was weird as I sniffled my way through security. Made my way to the toilet to dry out my bag as my water had leaked all over. Only to bump into Fiona from Martionos as she was off on holiday with the family.
I opened my pressies off Richy and then mooched onto the flight, this first flight was to Brussels, once on we sat for 45minutes waiting for a slot to take off. It was a tiny plane with only one air hostess, I had two seats to myself so lay down to have a nap as my flight had been due for 6.10am. but of course, only to be awoken by a few sharp jabs in my shoulder by the Indian on the other side of the aisle, to awake me for the snack and beverage that was coming round, oh yes, it hit me the rudeness and the jabbing and grabbing that happens when you hit India. I shook my head at him as I just wanted to sleep I can cope without some crap airplane snack food, the fool.
So I slept and as we set off late, it meant that we landed late at Brussels, so once off I had to leg it to get my connecting flight, I wasn't even wearing a bra, and with my new boobs that have grown recently, I had to hold on to those babies. I ran from whatever leg I was in to leg B or D whichever I had to be in, only to hit a massive queue for security checks, again, ive never had that in connecting flights before, so I decided I would qualify for the fast track lane so jumped into, got checked, then ran all along the leg, it was a massive leg, my flight was on the last departure lounge, so I had to run past 40 departure lounges worrying the whole time about getting sagging boobs as I clung to them with dear life!
Got on the plane, only to get an announcement that the plane will be delayed while waiting for delayed connecting flights. If only I had known I woulda chilled out and had a cuppa at the airport. So after say just over half an hour we set off. I kept myself entertained by watching Blood Diamond which I bawled my eyes out to, and then In Time. The rest of the time I ate and tried to sleep. I also kept amused by the Indian woman next to me who thought she was a princess, we were in the front row of one of the sections, so out TVs were under the arm rest, I don't think she knew this, so she kept trying to peer at my screen and the guys next to her, and it amused me as she had kept elbowing me and just generally being annoying, so it amused me much that she didn't think she had a TV.
So I arrived late in Delhi, by about an hour than what I was due, so my taxi driver for my hotel I was staying in had left. So this was just a nightmare, 11pm and my card wouldn't work in the ATMs at the airport, the one I hadn't tried had a huge queue, so I had to get a taxi driver outside to ring my hotel, for the guy to say get a taxi and he will pay it. So I was a little bit stressed as I didn't have any money blab la.
The taxi driver had to keep pulling over asking people if they knew where this hotel was, so we were just driving round Delhi, I had no idea where I was, I kept telling him to ring the hotel owner as he had said to if we needed directions, so after who knows how long, he finally rang him and someone came and met us and showed us where it was.
Once there the owner musta been home, so the guys working there were trying to get me to pay for the taxi, so that was a hassle, but I physically couldn't, so eventually I got taken up to my room. The shower didn't work but I was too tired to care. As all the bathrooms are like wet rooms, I just had a very messy sink wash, texted people to let them know I had arrived. I was still stressed about the money situation, sleep deprived and so emotional, by this time it was about 12.30am, so I had a little weep, and eventually went to sleep.xx
