The pain continues . . .
On a Sunday the 9am class isn't on so we had arranged to do 7am yoga on the roof, so we ended up on the balcony as it was raining and did an hour, I couldn't touch my toes to begin I was that stiff. Everything just hurts!
Whenever I walk down to the yoga it makes me laugh as the first time I went with Sarah (who was last seen getting on a bike arguing leaving, she was getting a cold) to enquire, I was desperate for the loo so these two students let us use their toilet and when I was waiting for Sarah I made them sing and play the guitar to me while I danced it was so funny. I will have to go and have another sing song with them at some point.
After yoga I had the biggest bowl of porridge ever, I think they mix it with curd so it's not the same as home, but still tasty. I ended bumping into a guy called Darren again who is doing volunteer work teaching English. Sat with him drinking ginger tea after ginger tea for a couple of hours and a girl called Mandy joined us, she was on her honeymoon, strange place for a honeymoon I believe, but each to their own.
Then, da da da daaaaa, I went for a massage, I'd heard a lot about these, they do everything except your fanny, leave your dignity at the door. The guy and I went to Mahinder Kapoor which was amazing, he is opposite to where I live. I didn't want my boobs massaging as that's what they do, massage fat? I don't know but he doesn't do that. It was painful but he helped ease this aching body. I really don't know why they tell you to keep you knickers on as they pull them down to massage your bum, they see everything! So I'm going back tomorrow as my muscles are all tight and knotted, which I've always known from all the exercise. Before he began though he placed bowls on my chest and pubic bone and hit them over and over so the ringing was vibrating through my body, a bit weird, I have to try so much not to laugh at these new experiences. Also, I got asked if I was an extremely heavy smoker, which concerned me as in yoga I got asked if I have breathing problems, this is down to my manky feet, on the ball of my foot where my hoofy hard skin is, is linked to the lungs, so I have horrendous lungs, fab.
I ended up wandering the village and met a lot of older people who I got talking to all doing volunteer work and I walked around the temple.
4.30 hatha class, I'm starting to fall in love with the yoga as much as it pains me.
It's Karen's last night so a group of us went for tea. Today the amount of ginger, honey and lemon teas I have had is a new addiction, I'm cleansing my soul! xx
